Memory changes are common symptoms of aging and can also be accompanied by psychological changes. Memory diseases, the most common of which is Alzheimer's disease, can be studied, treated and rehabilitated using high-quality and reliable methods. Drug treatment of memory diseases is developing rapidly through research, and my team and I are the first in the Nordic countries to start infusions of new biological drugs lecanemab and donanemab for Alzheimer's disease for people with early or mild Alzheimer's disease. I have been the principal investigator of clinical drug trials for Alzheimer's disease and have been responsible for Finland's largest research patient groups in this field for 29 years.
